In atm7 there are new apotheosis 'reforge' materials and two new stations. One breaks items down into their rarity materials (ie epic, mythic etc ) while the other uses these materials, and gem dust ( obtained by dropping an anvil on gems) to change the affix of an item, and through that it's stats, effects, and gem slots.
Once socketed, there's no way to remove the gem without destroying either the gem or the item. Unfortunately, only apotheosis-generated tools can have sockets, but you can use the reforging table to add affixes to other gear, such as Silent Gear tools, which may include sockets. You cant just find them consistently, some guy made an apotheotic boss farm before on a large scale and was able to farm them kind of, otherwise id say look for apotheosis endermen bosses in the end if they spawn, they usually have 300 hp and are most likely to drop ancient affixes. The Apotheosis gems add simple stats and aren't as in-depth as Tetra sockets, so in my opinion they should remain separate. That being said, they should totally be compatible.
